You have a choice of three airports for flights to Milan Italy.
If you are looking for cheap flights to Milan from European countries, then the first airport to look at is Orio al Serio Bergamo as the low-cost airline company Ryanair has quite a few routes.
The Goolge map indicates all three Milan Italy airports indicating their position in respect to the city center of Milan.
Finding direct flights to Sardegna from my own experience sometimes are not possible especially in the out of summer time.
The Milan airports come in handy here as they are connected to most countries in Europe as well as all three airports in Sardegna as the table below shows.

I have actually used the Bergamo airport for a connection flight from Sardegna to the UK and although there was a hour waiting time between the arrival and departing time it went very fast.
Note:
All direct flights to the Milan Italy are available only from Europe.
If you are looking for flights to Sardegna and your departure country is outside the UE, then the Rome Fiumicino airport does have a few options you may wish to investigate.
